Woven Wrap Review - Lawilde Vasilisa
As part of the Wrapper's Delight meet, organised by Surrey Hills Sling Social as part of a local collective of people involved in carrying, we were sent a couple of Lawilde woven wraps to try out. Jude and I borrowed the Vasilisa as I preferred the colour of this to the other one which suited Katherine and Sarah.
Firstly I loved the canvas bag with the leather tag branded its a lovely size to hold the wrap.
Here you can see the full pattern and the contrast between the 2 sides. It has a lovely edge which makes it look slightly scalloped when its the pattern itself.
Its a heavy weight wrap at 320g although it doesn't feel this being 100% Egyptian Cotton. In the hand it feels similar to my Woven Wings American Quilt fresh water (also 100% cotton).
I used it for front carries and back carries with Jude currently 8m old and it was easy for both. Its a stunning pattern and comes in a range of colourways.
Plenty of sleepy dust :)
Tied Tibetan, stayed in place and was solid, looked lovely in particular in carries where the rails are flipped such as Poppins.

Info from Lawilde
Colour: Charcoal and pale grey The heavyweight cotton Vasilisa is a smooth weave that breaks in quickly to become velvety soft and snuggly. Perfect for both toddlers and babies, but due to the weight we do not recommend for newborns until it is broken in. Size 3 £175, Size 4 £190, Size 5 £205, Size 6 £220, Size 7 £235 plus p&p
